Policies & Terms

A Couple of Terms for the shorthand we'll use as a group - I hope this clarifies - it makes the shorthand writing forms much easier..

Member/Non Member rates - We will have fundraisers throughout the year to help pay for events and programming.  Students and their families are encouraged to participate in these fundraisers.  As a result of those fundraisers, we will have different "rates" for our events.  The "Member" rate is good for any student or adult who has helped with at least one fundraiser in the past year.  The "non-member" rate is good for any student or adult who has not helped with at least one fundraiser in the past year.

Chaperoned Event - These events are hosted by the youth group as specifically chaperoned events.  Any students in the appropriate age bracket are always welcome.  (High School 9th-12th, Middle School 6th-8th)  These events are held in compliance with the Diocesan Child Protection policies ie: a high school dance, living stations, regular youth group meetings, etc.

Family Event - Anyone is welcome to attend our "family events" we invite families as families, with younger siblings, older siblings, moms and dads.  These events, by definition are NOT chaperoned.  Families are invited as families.  Every minor must be accompanied by an adult.  The parish or youth group takes no responsibility for minors at these events, and they are entirely the responsibility of the adult bringing them.  (Imagine you are taking your kids to an amusement park as a family)
